Terms of Service
By downloading, installing, or using RapidCal or visiting rapidcal.codestacx.com, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. RapidCal is a local-first desktop calendar client provided by CodeStacx.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User" or "you") and CodeStacx ("CodeStacx", "we", "us", or "our") governing your access to and use of the RapidCal desktop application across macOS, Windows, and Linux, as well as the website located at https://rapidcal.codestacx.com (collectively, the "Service").
If you do not agree to these Terms or our Privacy Policy, please do not download, install, or use RapidCal.
2. Description of the Software
RapidCal is a local-first desktop calendar application engineered in Rust (Tauri v2) and SolidJS. RapidCal enables users to view, search, create, modify, and synchronize calendar events stored locally in an on-device SQLite database and optionally synchronized with connected third-party calendar providers, including Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook / Microsoft 365.
RapidCal operates directly on your personal computer without an intermediary CodeStacx cloud backend.
3. License Grant & Acceptable Use
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, CodeStacx grants you a personal, worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and run the RapidCal desktop application on devices that you own or control.
When using RapidCal, you agree that you will not:
- Use RapidCal in any manner that violates applicable local, state, national, or international laws or regulations.
- Abuse, flood, or intentionally circumvent rate limits or security controls of the Google Calendar API, Microsoft Graph API, or any other third-party service.
- Misrepresent the identity of the application or use CodeStacx's OAuth client credentials outside of the official RapidCal software.
- Distribute modified binaries of RapidCal containing malware, spyware, or unauthorized credential harvesting mechanisms while using the RapidCal or CodeStacx name or branding.
4. Third-Party Calendar Providers & OAuth Credentials
RapidCal integrates with third-party services—including Google Calendar (provided by Google LLC) and Microsoft Outlook / Microsoft 365 (provided by Microsoft Corporation)—via their official OAuth 2.0 and REST APIs.
- Third-Party Terms: Your use of Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook remains subject to Google's Terms of Service (policies.google.com/terms), Google's Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy), and Microsoft's Services Agreement (microsoft.com/servicesagreement).
- Bring-Your-Own OAuth Credentials (Optional): RapidCal allows advanced users and organizations to configure their own Google Cloud OAuth Client ID or Microsoft Entra Application (Client) ID in Settings. If you supply custom OAuth credentials, you are solely responsible for complying with the respective cloud provider's developer terms and API quotas.
- No Endorsement: Google, Google Calendar, and Google Meet are trademarks of Google LLC. Microsoft, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams are trademarks of Microsoft Corporation. RapidCal is an independent product created by CodeStacx and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google or Microsoft.
5. Calendar Synchronization, RSVPs & User Responsibilities
RapidCal performs two-way synchronization with your connected calendar accounts when you create, edit, reschedule, RSVP to, or delete events, or when you use features such as Cross-Account Busy Blocking. You acknowledge and agree that:
-
Real Changes to Connected Calendars: Actions you take inside RapidCal—including
creating or deleting events, changing event times, sending attendee RSVPs (
Yes/Maybe/No), or creating[Busy]mirror blocks—are pushed to your connected Google or Microsoft calendar and may trigger invitations or updates to meeting organizers and attendees. -
Offline Outbox Queue: When you edit events while offline, RapidCal queues those changes
locally in its outbox (
outbox_mutations) and automatically transmits them when network connectivity is restored. -
Verification of Critical Events: While RapidCal is engineered for high reliability and
comprehensive recurrence (
RRULE) and timezone accuracy, you remain solely responsible for verifying mission-critical appointments, deadlines, flights, medical visits, and time-sensitive commitments.

We reserve the right to modify or update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of RapidCal after updated Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
